Chase Lodge Maternity - GP full care with NHS delivery

Welcome to Chase Lodge Maternity, a more affordable way for private maternity care.

This package is run by our well known and experienced GPs, who have had extensive training in obstetrics in both hospital and community settings.

Our antenatal care extends from pre-conception to post-natal checks and beyond. Our doctors are on hand for you in the surgery and the end of a phone whenever and however often you need them. They will help you through every stage of your pregnancy, with regular monitoring, arranging all your scans, some of which will be in-house, doing all your blood tests, nutritional input in combination with a bespoke package to care for your individual needs at this most important time in your life.

Our standard package includes a viability scan at Chase Lodge Health, to ensure you have a healthy ongoing pregnancy.  Following this we can arrange your nuchal scan, which we advise you have at the Fetal Medical Centre, (this test assesses the risk of Downs Syndrome and Spina Bifida).

You will then have an extended booking appointment at around 12 weeks, with one of our doctors, explaining your care plan for the rest of your pregnancy. From this time, your appointments will be on a monthly basis until 28 weeks, then fortnightly until 36 weeks and then weekly until delivery.

If you need any further consultations or advice over the phone, these can be arranged on the same day ensuring your peace of mind with continuous care at no extra charge.

You will need two standard sets of blood tests, for which you will be invoiced separately.  These will be at the 12 week booking appointment, and then at 28 weeks, the prices for these are available on request.

At each appointment, you will have the reassurance of hearing your baby’s heart beat (around 11 weeks) and will be able to discuss any current concerns or worries about your pregnancy. Your urine will be monitored as will your blood pressure together with the growth of your baby. Specialist advice is on hand from our doctors who will liaise with our obstetricians as necessary.

We have an in-house nutritionist for specialised advice during your pregnancy.  We also have our expert Holistic Therapist, who specialises in shiatsu massage and acupuncture during pregnancy along with our hypnotherapist for any particular anxieties you may have.

We have our own private Midwife who will be on hand for your needs and will run ante-natal classes here at Chase Lodge Health.

After your delivery you will have the opportunity to see our private Health Visitor, who also specialises in cranial osteopathy.

Six weeks after the birth of your child, you and your baby will be seen for a post-natal check up. This is included in your package with free baby weigh-ins. At this point we will be able to introduce you to our Paediatric Team, Young Ones, with over thirty consultants and specialists, to look after every aspect of your child’s development, (see leaflet).

  • Rhesus negative injections at 28 and 34 weeks if necessary
  • 6 week post natal checks

Prices

The price for this package will be £1750. A non-refundable deposit of £200 will be required at the first appointment.  At 28 weeks a further payment of £500 will be due, with the balance payable after delivery.
